The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it is alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The assistance issue established for intervention ordeals a high influx of possible beneficiaries, read more which makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, here SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all clients and boost access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
